Got Milk? or "If Its Good Enough For A Cow"

The Harold Kuiper & Sons Dairy (Scott and Lisa) have donated their fans for ministry to the homeless.
We are taking the fans down from the barns, re-wiring them and welding bases.

They are being deployed (with permission) wherever homeless people hang out and/or sleep, first batches to Phoenix (Encanto Park) and Mesa (Broadway Corridor)

We are letting the kids paint the cowlings and scripture verses of encouragement ,they are BIG fans!

We get to drive this!

We are planning a work morning with the Christchurch, EVBC guys and some Intel folks.

We can use as many people as we can get! Drinks, live worship music (via Glen Hayward & Tina and ?) and Lunch Provided by Joe’s Real BBQ.

We need empty hands and hearts willing to serve.

I was planning Sat, July 3 8-12. Kuiper Dairy, Price and Willis Road in Chandler (Between Pecos and Germann) it is BIG!

Beer Ad's

Draughting off a story from Womma.

Anatomy of a Viral War - Heineken vs Bavaria

It began with this Heineken ad, http://www.digitalbuzzblog.com/new-heineken-walk-in-fridge-tv-ad/, a hilarious take on what a walk-in closet should really look like. The ad proved very successful, and spread like viral wildfire.
Bavaria Beer responded with this spoof, http://www.digitalbuzzblog.com/bavaria-beer-spoof-ad-vs-heineken-walk-in-fridge/, and equally funny and successful viral ad, albeit playing on the back on the original ad.
Heineken has responded yet again, http://www.digitalbuzzblog.com/heineken-walking-fridge-viral-video/, with another take on the "walk-in" standard. DigitalBuzz says that this ad isn't "nearly as good," and though we don't necessarily agree with that point, we will see it is darn impressive to see a budding viral war.
Frankly, it shows great awareness by Heineken to not only piggyback off of their original viral success, but to realize that often times the best WOM elements result from a conflict (not always a good thing...Domino's...). In this sense, the conflict is a budding viral war between Heineken and Bavaria.

Blue Moon, I See You Standing Alone

This was a social beer, I drank it for Sarah Jacobson, to celebrate her sabbatical, although she was sick. And I drank it for Susan Bobholz, who is celebrating 15 years at Intel next week. This is a Blue Moon Hefeweizen at the Keg in Chandler, AZ. Bunny ears courtesy of Kim Camus.
Strictly speaking I'm not on sabbatical yet, but this is pretty damn close. Two days to go...
Blue Moon is a nice easy drinking heffie, and is difficult to pass up when available on draft, especially during happy hour

Good Beers (and a few bad ones too)

This beer was the one that inspired this blog. It was so good that I knew I would drink this again, but I also knew that I could never remember it when I got to the store. I'm also planning to drink a few beers on my trip to Europe this summer, and this is a good place to start. I purchase this at AJ's in Chandler. Its quite fruity, as you can imagine a beer with passion fruit would be. But its around 109 degrees here today and it goes well with the heat too.

Drink Up!!
